Step into the Luminarium, a giant inflatable world of wonder, with glowing tunnels, shifting colours and calming spaces designed to help you explore, reflect and completely switch off.

An experience for all ages; part of BarrowFull's Playcations 2026.

This event is fully accessible and sensory friendly.

Free - please book your time slot and please arrive 10 minutes early.

First admission 10am

Last admission 3:40pm

The luminarium will admit visitors from 10 am to 3:40pm (last admission) - On the door tickets available onsite during opening times on a first come first served basis. This queue might close early in the case of high attendance. A limited amount of pre-purchase tickets are available online for priority admission at booked times from 10.00am to 3:40pm. Advance ticket holders must arrive 10 minutes before the time indicated on the ticket and will have priority access up to 30 minutes from the time indicated on the ticket. A small queue should still be expected. If advance tickets are indicated as sold out you can still join the line onsite.

PLEASE NOTE: the last 3 time slots on Tue 11 and Thu 13 are not bookable through this page.

Visitor Guidelines:

• The Luminarium is designed to be a calm and welcoming shared space.

• For safety and to enjoy Luminarium experience please walk slowly during your visit - running, jumping or sliding is not permitted

• Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult per 4 children)

• Non-walking babies do not need a ticket

• Shoes must be removed before entering

• Accessible to people in wheelchairs; prams and pushchairs remain outside

• No eating or drinking inside

• Maximum capacity: 80 visitors

• Visits last 20 - 30 minutes (may be limited to 20 minutes during busy periods)

• Photography/filming may occur - inform a steward if you prefer not to be photographed

• Visitors are welcome to take photos and share them on social media

• Please follow all instructions from event staff

• On entering Barrow Park there will be signage and stewards to direct you to the Luminarium.

About Architects of Air

For over thirty years, Architects of Air has pioneered immersive public art through its monumental Luminaria - sculptures that people enter to be moved to a sense of wonder at the beauty of light and colour. Since 1992, Architects of Air have created and toured these artworks captivating over 4 million visitors in 47 countries. Handcrafted in Nottingham from more than 3,000 individual pieces, each Luminarium is designed by founder Alan Parkinson drawing inspiration from cathedrals, Islamic architecture, and natural forms to shape dazzling maze-like spaces of winding paths and soaring domes.
