As one of the youngest ever Maalems - recognised masters of the traditional Moroccan musical and spiritual art form - Mo blends the hypnotic rhythms and deep cultural heritage of Gnawa with influences from a diverse group of Bristol-based musicians. Through successive line-ups of Tagna Groove, the band has developed a distinctive sound that fuses traditional Moroccan music with funk, creating an energetic and original live experience. Following the release of a well-received album, the group continues to evolve with new material and an exciting new album on the horizon.
