In this show you will discover the art of the crankie: a story told through scrolling pictures in a box turned by ‘cranks’ – a delightful and unexpected folk artform which brings a whole new dimension to storytelling for all ages. Encounter the Snake on the Western Wave told and sung by Wendy Dacre, shadow puppeteer and textile artist extraordinaire: and Sarah Hurley’s encounters with the more than human, in spooky tales from her Devon roots.
