About This Event

A free talk at Cressing Temple Barns on Thursday 23 July 2026 will delve into the lives of both people and animals in Essex half a million years ago. Entitled Ice Age Essex, the session draws on geological evidence to reconstruct the region’s prehistoric environment. Speakers will explore how early humans and now-extinct megafauna, including mammoths, adapted to the challenging Ice Age landscape. The event commences at 2.45pm in The Conference Room, with admission entirely free of charge.
