Habitat returns to Port Of Leith Distillery on Saturday the 8th of August, for the opening weekend of the Fringe! Delighted to announce French record label Hot Mule will be joining us for the celebrations! From the hypnotic archive of the Wagadu Grooves series to the timeless beauty of José Carlos Schwarz’s Lua Ki Di Nos, Hot Mule has consistently set the standard for deep, respectful, and revelatory global curation. For anyone not too familiar with this label, we highly recommend exploring their discography. Label boss Louis is no stranger to hi-fi parties, so expect a masterclass in deep, uplifting dance floor music in true freeform style. As always, carefully selected sounds from our record bags, anything from heavy zouk, deep Afro-cosmic cuts, driving Latin rhythms, feel-good classics to other rare gems connecting the dots you probably won’t hear anywhere else... We’ll once again be creating a unique & intimate space to come together and experience the collective joy of listening and dancing to beautiful music. This is one of the city’s most special venues with unmatched panoramic waterfront views. It’s going to be another special evening. In celebration of the Fringe, the party will run until 3am!
