THE ONE-DAY SHOP WHERE COMEDY IS CURRENCY – TELL A JOKE FOR A TASTY SNACK WITH FRINGE HEADLINER, MARK WATSON 10am – 6pm, Friday 7th August Register Square, St James Quarter, Edinburgh, EH1 3AT Higgidy, the delicious savoury pastry snack makers, will be bringing even more fun and laughter to the first day of the Edinburgh Fringe festival this year with the help of comedian and Fringe headliner, Mark Watson. For one day only, Friday 7th August, from 10am – 6pm, people will be given the opportunity to use their best comedic lines to grab themselves a tasty Higgidy treat with comedian Mark Watson joining the team over the lunchtime rush to encourage participation. What’s more, Mark will be picking his funniest joke at the end of the day. The Higgidy team will be sampling a selection of their delicious rolls and savoury mini muffins throughout the day from a gleaming airstream trailer set in Register Square, at the entrance to St James Quarter. And if you don’t fancy taking the mic, you can buy full packs of Higgidy rolls and mini muffins for a special price of just £2. The Higgidy menu for the day will include: Extra Mature Cheddar & Caramelised Onion Chutney Rolls with a Crispy Onion Crumb Beechwood Smoked Ham Hock & Mature Cheddar Sausage Rolls with Dijon Mustard Extra Mature Cheddar & Spinach Mini Muffins with a Pinch of Chilli Hoisin Pulled Mushroom & Spring Onion Rolls with Linseeds And if you can’t make it down on the day, look out for Higgidy’s tasty range in leading supermarkets including Sainsbury’s, Tesco,Waitrose and Ocado.
