In Glasgow's McLennan Arch Saltmarket, a groundbreaking outdoor performance is set to unfold on 8 August. Indepen-dance's Wheel See, a collaborative project, will celebrate the fusion of movement and accessibility. This inclusive spectacle brings together a diverse group of disabled and non-disabled performers, all of whom will embark on an intriguing journey through Glasgow Green. Utilising an assortment of wheeled transport, including bicycles, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters, the performers will travel in unison, creating a visually striking experience. Curated by dance artists Aya Kobayashi and Monika Smeko, Wheel See promises to be an engaging and immersive outdoor spectacle. The event will delve into themes of mobility, access, and the shared human experience, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to reflect on these vital issues. Disabled and non-disabled performers travel as a flock through Glasgow Green using a range of wheeled transport, including bikes, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. This outdoor performance project focuses on access, movement and shared experience.
