Kaleider's Requiem will be performed as part of Tramway Beyond Walls' outdoor performance at Queen's Park. The event is free and open to the public but participants are encouraged to join a session before the performance for additional support.
Tramway Beyond Walls presents Requiem, a large-scale outdoor performance Kaleider 's contemporary requiem for life on this planet combines kinetic installation and an original musical score with structure and sound. Performers construct a monumental form in public as an audience gathers around them. What rituals do we need to face the moment we are living? When we come together, what will we choose to build? Taking place as part of Govanhill International Festival and Carnival, this free unticketed performance is open to everyone. LOCATION Requiem takes place in Queen's Park at The Terraces, which are at the top of the stairs near the Victoria Park entrance. Climb the stairs, or follow the signs from the bottom of the stairs for an accessible pathway. ACCESS Outdoor performance with seated and standing areas Wheelchair accessible, with an accessible toilet onsite. Suitable for assistance dogs. No spoken dialogue, suitable for deaf and hard of hearing audiences. There is a continuous, originally composed musical score throughout the performance. ____________________ Part of Tramway Beyond Walls, presented in partnership with the Govanhill Baths Creative Canopies programme. Supported by Tramway through Creative Scotland and Glasgow Life, and by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
