About This Event

Pups & Pints: Southside Dog Life Drawing is a creative workshop held at The Corona Bar & Kitchen in Shawlands. It offers a relaxed and casual environment for participants.

Looking for something unique and creative to do in Glasgow's Southside? Join us at Corona in Shawlands for Pups & Pints, a relaxed, casual, and completely beginner-friendly evening of dog life drawing featuring a lovable local pup model! Whether you are a seasoned artist or haven't picked up a pencil since school, this informal session is all about having fun, enjoying a drink, and trying something a bit different. There is zero pressure to create a masterpiece. Dogs naturally sit, stretch, snooze, and move around, making it a brilliant, low-stakes way to practice quick sketching and capture loose movement. What’s Included with Your Ticket Complimentary Welcome Drink: A free premium Spritz on arrival from Corona's spritz menu. All Art Materials Provided: A3 drawing boards, paper, tape, willow charcoal, chalks, and colorful pastels are all supplied—just bring yourself! 1.5 Hours of Guided Sketching: A series of fun, timed drawing exercises designed to help you capture our canine star in a low-pressure setting. Event Timeline 6:45pm – 7:00pm: Arrival! Check in, grab your drawing board, and enjoy your complimentary Spritz. 7:15pm – 8:30pm: 1.5 hours of relaxed, timed drawing exercises. 8:30pm onwards: The session wraps up, but you are more than welcome to stick around, socialise, and enjoy the rest of your evening at Corona! Frequently Asked Questions What time should I arrive? Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early (between 6:45pm and 7:00pm). This gives you plenty of time to check in, grab your complimentary Spritz, pick out your drawing spot, and get settled before we kick off at 7:00pm! Do I need any drawing experience? Not at all! Pups & Pints is designed to be a unique, social experience rather than a strict art class. It’s all about having a drink, sketching, and having fun—no artistic background required. Can I bring my own dog? Please leave your pets at home! To keep the atmosphere calm, safe, and stress-free for our featured dog model, only the designated modeling dog is permitted in the event area. How does sketching a dog work if they keep moving? Dogs naturally shift around, and that’s part of the charm! The session consists of short, timed exercises designed to help you capture quick shapes and loose movement rather than worrying about creating a rigid, "perfect" portrait. Can I stay after the event finishes? Absolutely! The structured drawing session wraps up at 8:30pm, but you are more than welcome to hang around Corona, enjoy another drink, chat with fellow attendees, and show off your sketches. Ticket Info Early Bird Admission: £20 (Limited availability!) General Admission: £25 Age Requirement: 18+ only
