The Music is the Answer: Commonwealth arts and music programme will culminate in Piece and Jam, a youth-led celebration of music, creativity and street culture featuring performances, artworks and opportunities for young people to showcase what they've created throughout the programme. A part of a free, youth‑led celebration of street art and music in Glasgow. Open to young people from Govan, Partick, Yorkhill and Anderston, the four‑week programme offers hands-on workshops in graffiti, street art and electronic music. Led by artists and DJs, young people learn real skills and finish with a high‑energy showcase of murals and live music. Over three action-packed weeks, participants will explore DJing, music production, digital creativity and street art, work alongside professional artists and musicians, and gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access to some of the biggest names playing SWG3 this summer. Piece and Jam is for young people aged up to 25. All under 12s must be accompanied by an adult.
