For over seven decades, the voices of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle shaped the soul of Bollywood music, giving life to the purane gaane that continue to live on in our hearts. From tender romantic melodies and soulful ballads to playful, expressive classics, their songs became the soundtrack to generations and defined the golden era of Hindi cinema. As sisters with two distinct yet complementary styles, Lata and Asha created an unparalleled musical legacy.  Lata’s purity and emotional depth stood alongside Asha’s versatility, rhythm and bold expression.  Together, their voices brought to life some of the most iconic moments in Indian film history and continue to inspire audiences across the world.
