About This Event

This strenuous circular route will take around 5 hours including a 30 minute break half way round. Starting from the famous Box Hill, you’ll see stunning views on your way over to Headley Heath. From there you will explore the beautiful heathland before returning to Box Hill while your guide points out key highlights that make this area special. The route involves two climbs and two descents. A couple of these have steps and are significantly steep. There will be approximately 330m of ascending & descending; we are on a hill after all! The hike will go ahead in all weathers and some areas could be muddy. Walking poles may be useful. Please bring water and a snack, and note there are no facilities once we leave the visitor centre. This is an interactive experience we welcome questions and sharing experiences. Your guide will tailor the pace, breaks and content based on the needs of the group. If you enjoy being outdoors in nature this is the perfect way to explore the countryside, meet like-minded people and find out more about the Surrey Hills. Normal car parking charges apply.
