The historic market town of Saxmundham hosts bustling weekly and monthly markets, welcoming traders of all kinds.

This booking is for traders and stallholders wishing to secure a pitch at Saxmundham’s Monthly Artisan Market.

Our artisan markets are lively, popular, and well supported by both residents and visitors. Held in the picturesque Fromus Square, the markets run monthly from April to November, with options for one-off or regular bookings. Our much-loved Christmas Fayre in December is also not to be missed.

We welcome a wide range of stallholders and aim to offer shoppers a varied and interesting mix of products, including everyday essentials, gifts, and luxury items. We are particularly keen to hear from traders offering food and drink, plants, household goods, crafts, and similar. Entertainment such as buskers and street performers is also welcome.

Please review the market plan carefully and ensure you select the correct ticket when booking, as pitch sizes vary. There is no access to mains power, so traders should plan to operate without electricity or provide their own generator. A limited number of 3m x 3m gazebos are available to borrow by prior arrangement.

Charity stalls and community organisations are invited to apply for a free market pitch. Please contact community@saxmundham-tc.gov.uk to enquire. Availability is limited and restrictions apply.

Free parking is provided for stallholders, located a short walk from the market square.

Pitches are on hardstanding and the ground may be uneven in places. Weights are required for gazebos and stallholders are responsible for setting up and packing away their own stalls safely.

To confirm your booking, you must:

Book your pitch via Eventbrite, and

Complete the forms included in our Traders Pack, which will be sent to you after booking.

This includes providing proof of Public Liability Insurance. Please complete this paperwork as soon as possible so your booking can be fully confirmed.

* Visitors attend free of charge and do not need to book.

Refund policy:

If you are unable to attend a booked market, refunds are offered at the discretion of Saxmundham Town Council up to two weeks before the event. Where possible, we may alternatively offer to transfer your booking to another date.
