Thirty years ago, Laith's parents fled Iraq to escape Saddam Hussein's dictatorship and claimed asylum in the UK. Now his family is falling apart while Laith struggles to hide his darkest secret. Funny and moving, Insane Asylum Seekers is an autobiographical play from British-Iraqi award-winning playwright Laith Elzubaidi which explores British-Iraqi identity, generational trauma, family expectations, and the realities of the refugee experience.
