About Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, London is a stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s film. It brings the story to the theatre as a musical set in a world of splendour, romance, glitz and grandeur.

The production is directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, with a book by Tony Award® winner John Logan, music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award® winner Justin Levine, and choreography by Tony Award® winner Sonya Tayeh. It centres on the themes of Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love.

Bohemians and aristocrats share the same stage world in this musical mash-up production.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes including interval.

Before you book

This production is suitable for ages 12 years and older. Strobe lighting is used during the show.

For matinee performances, the venue opens 90 minutes before the start time; for evening performances, it opens 105 minutes before the start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time, as latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point.
