The guided walk on the history of shopping in London will take place outside exit 3 of Piccadilly Circus station on August 14, 2026. The walk will explore the history of famous shops and shopping areas in London. The walk will also reveal some hidden gems. The price range for the walk is free to £16.96.
Journey back in time and explore the history of some of the most famous shops and shopping areas in London- as well as a few hidden gems!!
The walk will take approximately 2hrs- it is a flat walk and should be accessible for all. Although the walk will cover the history of various shops or areas, unfortunately, we don't actually "go shopping" on the walk- otherwise it would take a lot longer than 2hrs!!
The tour starts at Piccadilly Circus and will end near Oxford Street- I will always be happy to give directions at the end of the tour for those who need- either for public transport, or if you would like to visit any of the stores we spoke about during the tour.
