About This Event

The Bridge, a new play by Palestinian actor and comedian Alaa Shehada, will run at the Bush Theatre, London on 10 July 2026. Building on his debut work The Horse of Jenin, the production blends storytelling with humour.

Palestinian actor and comedian Alaa Shehada returns following his heartfelt and hilarious debut, The Horse of Jenin, with a new play that blends storytelling, stand-up and physical comedy in a very human tale of family and connection, hope and joy. Follow Alaa as he journeys from Jenin to Amman across the Jordan Valley, carrying a dripping container of olive oil, on a moving and funny road trip that explores the realities of the Palestinian struggle and the impacts of colonialism.
