About This Event

Flamenco Express, marking its 30th anniversary, embarks on a tour that will retrace its steps through London on August 9, 2026. The lineup includes performances by renowned artists La Joaquina and Chris Clavo, ensuring an authentic and powerful flamenco experience at The Cockpit in the capital city. Tickets are priced at £21.60 for full price and £18.51 with concessions (including booking fees), offering a unique opportunity to witness this art form's raw emotion and dynamic energy firsthand.

Flamenco Express returns to London with a new cargo of raw, heart-wrenching flamenco – with 'sizzling soloist’ La Joaquina, guitar virtuoso Chris Clavo, the vocal dynamism of Jasmine Villalobos and the blazing talent of Adrián Brenes. For thirty years, Flamenco Express has existed to do justice to this unique art form. Choosing the best artists and allowing them total freedom of expression. The result is an honest window to freedom and life in world of lies. A fresh emotional and artistic world every night. Adrián Brenes. Now based in Madrid his reputation continues to grow with performances at Casa Patas and other famous venues. He has forged strong links with the UK, dancing with Flamenco Express (London), Alba Flamenca (Edinburgh) and was the leading artist in Flamenke's opening festival (Cheltenham, Stroud and Bristol) in November 2016. In September 2015, he spent a season with the London Royal Opera, Covent Garden in their production of Carmen and in June 2016, performed and taught at various venues around Mexico City. Jasmine Villalobos From La Linea, Cadiz, Andalucía, Jasmine raidly earned the title of Queen of London Flamenco, performing every night at every tablao in town. With every dancer, guitarist and singer in reach, including many of the leading names in the craft. An artist with an inexhaustible appetite for her audience. CUTTINGS “Leading the dancers, La Joaquina, tiny, urgent and intense, explored a vast emotional vocabulary, and juxtaposed vulnerability and tenderness with violence and aggression. Her feet rattle off tempestuous beats, her sinewy arms snake angrily and her taut body is totally driven by her feelings.” Emma Manning. The Stage “Unlike some of the splashy and slightly pretentious star-name shows at the festival flamenco, this performance is totally direct; immediate, involving and completely beguiling.” - Exeunt Magazine “Delighted the audience, who rewarded them with rapturous applause and encores. “ - Dance Europe “This fiesty flamenco company deliver the finest flamenco, plus sizzling soloist, La Joaquina.” TimeOut “A tornado of passion... gloriously upbeat... “- Harrow Times “The three curtain calls were richly deserved.” - SevenoaksChronicle “A musical journey laced with passion, grace and immense artistry.” - Harlow Star
