The Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music Launch Party will be held at The Social in London on 20th August 2026 at 6pm. The event is a launch party for the Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music, in collaboration with The Social and Slack City Radio. Ticket prices are available on the event's website.
Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music holds a London launch party with long standing associates The Social and new London station, Slack City Radio.
The night feature’s a line-up of three female led live acts, Aruba Red, Scarlett Woolfe and Usvstheworld, plus DJs Ben Miles and Ben Osborne and VJ Girl In A T-Shirt.
Aruba Red is the daughter of Cream’s bass player, Jack Bruce. She creates autobiographical alt-soul music and returns to the stage after an extended hiatus in the lead-up to her upcoming album ‘Latent Echo’. Aruba’s collaborated and toured with a star studded array of artists, including Nitin Sawhney, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Finley Quaye, Natty and Maverick Sabre. She’s held residencies at London’s Roundhouse and Southbank Centre. Between the months of May – December, Aruba is releasing a new song every full moon. Her reviews describe: “Pastoral textures, jazz-tinged flourishes and moonlit storytelling” (House of Solo), “A new spirit of hope and redemption” (The Morning Star), “Songs that comfort, console and give hope” (At The Barrier). Aruba will be joined live by acoustic guitarist Michael Watts.
Scarlett Woolfe and collaborators, Rufus Miller, Miranda Gray-Aragoneses, George Snooks and Nate Wicks, embrace both beauty and brutality in their music; with cinematic violin arrangements and ethereal guitars accompanying driving bass-lines and drum patterns. Her work explores complexities in female identity and inhabits a space between memory, poetry and confession. Based in London, she spent years as a writer and performer in Weaving in Purgatory, and as a curator of ‘A Woman Becomes a Wolf when she learns how to scream’; through which she’s brought together artists from different disciplines to create a lasting community.
USVSTHEWORLD is a fresh new female led combo bringing loud noises, sporadic piccolo solos and many hours spent mouth-breathing into a laptop to Woodbridge Festival and The Social. The newest project from producer-musician Izzy Walter has been rapidly gaining audiences with a unique brand of hyper-glitch-folk-pop.
Actor Ben Miles is a household name. His career has seen him star in a multitude of TV, theatre and film roles, including Coupling, The Forsyte Saga, The Crown, V for Vendetta, Douglas Is Cancelled, Ninja Assassins, Napoleon, Andor, Nanny McPhee, Black Mirror, Larkrise To Candleford and many others. But Ben’s roots and long lasting passion are in vinyl DJing. And his creativity and talent is equally evident spinning on the decks as it is on screen and stage.
Host DJ and Woodbridge Festival founder, Ben Osborne’s cross platform music and arts career has taken in many areas of the music and arts industry. His Noise of Art organisation has worked with leading venues, galleries and festivals across the world. He’s DJed clubs and festivals internationally and has written two books on music, including his best selling Arctic Monkey’s autobiography. He’s a pioneering creative producer and his articles on music have appeared in newspapers and specialist magazines. Ben’s presented radio shows for Xfm, NME Radio and Slack City Radio.
Girl In A T-Shirt, aka artist Alice Stallard, creates moving collages influenced by the sounds and atmosphere of the night. She created the first commissioned stage visuals for the celebrated First Light Festival and curates the projections for Woodbridge Festival’s award winning Fish Friendly Fireworks. Her work includes collaborations with Museum of Soho, Chelsea Arts Club, Daisy Green Collection, The Ackerman Studios and Noise of Art.
