Our Pride in Ageing Manchester book club brings together LGBTQ+ readers from across generations. This is session will be held in person at our Community Hub at Fairbairn House. Book here. , Pride in Ageing prideinageing@lgbt.foundation LGBT Foundation’s Pride in Ageing programme is bringing different generations of LGBTQ+ readers together every 6 weeks to discuss great LGBTQ+ reads. The group began in 2024 by reading Armistead Maupin’s much-loved series ‘Tales of the City’ – yes all 10 books! At future meetings we will be discussing books by older LGBTQ+ authors, books which feature story-lines about older LGBTQ+ characters (as well as younger ones!) and writers who use humour in their exploration of LGBTQ+ issues. If this sounds of interest to you please do join us! This event is open to anyone aged 18+, and the book club meets in person at LGBT Foundation’s Community Hub at Fairbairn House. We try to choose books that are available widely from libraries and to buy – and those that are available too online as an e-book or audio-book.
