Experience an afternoon of Indian classical music at Reading Raga Resonance: Bow, Beat, and Breath on Saturday, 12 September 2026, at The Great Hall, University of Reading. The concert brings together Satwinder Pal Singh, an accomplished sarangi artist, and Ustad Shahbaz Hussain, one of the UK's leading tabla players, for a unique musical performance celebrating the dialogue between melody and rhythm. The programme is designed in two parts. The first features a sarangi recital accompanied by tabla, highlighting the instrument's expressive, voice-like character. In the second half, the focus shifts to a tabla solo, with the sarangi providing melodic accompaniment.
