About This Event

Author of the Shirley Murley book series Local Author, Su Murley, will be joining us for an interactive storytime ideal for under 6’s, on Sunday 9th August. Doors open at 10am with storytime at 10.15am. Do come along for a chat and find out how she created her swirly, twirly, curly character ‘Shirley Murley’. Having entertained friends and family over the years with her comical rhymes, Su is now writing rhyming children’s picture books which are enjoyed by the whole family. See if you can manage the killer tonguetwister in ‘Shirley Murley’ and follow the adventures of Shirley and her adorable dog Trevor in ‘Shirley Murley and Clever Trevor’. With lots of things hidden in the illustrations to spot throughout these delightful books, they are sure to become firm favourites whether being enjoyed by a new reader alone, or during a storytime together. Su will be signing copies tof her book. Ticket price can be used towards the book (or other books on the day) - not including booking fee. Tickets needed for each member of the attending party, including children to keep track on numbers.
