Dates-n-Mates annual conference

Dates-n-Mates are delighted to be hosting our Love Without Limits Conference for the 3rd year.

Love Without Limits is our annual event focused on breaking down barriers and tackling the stigma around relationships, love and sex for adults with learning disabilities.

The 2026 conference in Aberdeen, hosted during Learning Disability Week, includes the following key activities and talks:

An introduction to the love without limits campaign from the Dates-n-Mates team

An interactive discussion with Alastair Minty on the topic of supporting people to explore relationships [Stay up late Scotland]

A presentation from Ruth Callendar on the SCLD Relationships Matters report [Sottish Commission for Learning Disabilities]

An Love & Sex workshop taster and relationships themed talk from Dates-n-Mates

A talk from Rape Crisis Grampian

A panel Q&A with lived experience stories from adults with learning disabilities [Dates-n-Mates members and directors]

A tea, coffee and biscuit break

An opportunity to connect with the work we do and one another
