David Dewar on Lady Nairne: Scotland's Secret Songstress.
Lady Nairne wrote nearly one hundred songs during her life. Many of these were assumed to be unpublished works of Robert Burns. This is because she insisted that her identity as the songwriter be kept secret. It was only after her death that her identity was revealed. Because of her insistence on anonymity, she has never received the credit that she is due.
Booking for Highlight Talks at Robert Burns Birthplace Museum is recommended to guarantee entry. Due to limited capacity in the venue, any available seats will be allocated to attendees who have not booked on a first come, first served basis, meaning that entry cannot be guaranteed without booking.
