About Jon Byrne

From being spotted by Mick Jones of The Clash in London in 2007, Jon Byrne has worked with some of the biggest names and influences on the British music scene.

Originally from Barrow-in-Furness, Jon has travelled the length of the country, playing shows across the world in places such as America and South Korea. His rare style, exuberant stage performances, and unique, sharp wordsmithery have gathered him a cult-like fan base. Jon is a social commentator and a true storyteller.

Jon has released two critically acclaimed albums, It's Boring Being in Control and Built by Angels, both of which have received recognition from the national music press. He was also the winner of the 2008 Glastonbury 'Leftfield' Best New Artist Award.

His songs 'Lighthouse' and 'Forever Chasing That Feeling', from Built by Angels, were championed on BBC Radio 2.

After facing challenges with mental health and addiction, Jon has dedicated his work to exploring more spiritual insights and sharing how he has overcome his own darkness and found a path to recovery.

He is currently working on his third album.

Join us for an evening of music, conversation, and an honest look at a musician's journey through darkness, recovery, and finding a new path.
