About This Event

CorrosionFest 2027 takes place at Alhambra Live, Morecambe on 13 March 2027 at 16:30. The festival features bands from nine countries across two days.

CorrosionFest is a two-day dark alternative music festival taking place at The Alhambra Theatre in Morecambe, UK. First held in 2020, the festival has welcomed bands from across the UK, Europe and beyond, bringing together established artists and emerging talent from the international goth and alternative music scenes. The 2027 festival features 12 bands from nine countries over two days, covering gothic rock, post-punk, darkwave, industrial, punk and heavier alternative sounds. CorrosionFest is a small, independent indoor festival with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The organisers pride themselves on making both bands and audiences feel part of the event, with opportunities to discover new music alongside familiar names. Resident DJ The Gothmariner will also be keeping the music going between and after the live performances along with guest DJ Mike Nash. FRIDAY 12TH MARCH Another Tale (Germany) - German gothic rock veterans Another Tale return to CorrosionFest after first playing in 2023, this time to headline Friday night. Formed in 1988, the band have been part of the German gothic rock scene for nearly four decades, bringing their atmospheric, melodic and unmistakably old-school gothic rock sound back to Morecambe. Dawn After Dark (UK) - Originally formed in Birmingham during the 1980s, Dawn After Dark returned after almost 30 years apart and finally released their debut album, New Dawn Rising, in 2021. Their music combines traditional gothic rock with darker alternative rock influences, and 2027 will mark their first appearance at CorrosionFest. We Are Waves (Italy) - Hailing from Turin, We Are Waves combine post-punk, darkwave and new wave influences, mixing driving guitars with atmospheric electronics. The organisers discovered just how good they were live at Dark Skies Over Witten in Germany in 2026 and were determined to bring them to Morecambe. They Die (Italy) - Italian darkwave / post-punk band They Die bring a darker electronic edge to Friday's lineup. Combining brooding atmospheres, driving rhythms and post-punk influences, they are one of the newer discoveries joining CorrosionFest in 2027. SATURDAY 13TH MARCH Ductape (Turkey) - Formed in Istanbul and now based in France, Ductape have established themselves as one of the exciting names on the European darkwave and post-punk circuit. Combining powerful vocals, driving basslines, guitars and electronic elements, the duo have built a growing international following through their recordings and energetic live performances. Two Witches (Finland) - Finnish gothic rock veterans Two Witches will be celebrating their 40th anniversary at CorrosionFest 2027. Formed in 1987, the band have been a longstanding part of the European gothic rock scene, with their distinctive blend of traditional gothic rock, dark atmospheres and theatrical performances. Korinthians (Belgium) - Belgian post-punk/darkwave band Korinthians return to CorrosionFest after making their first appearance in 2023. Since then, they have played several more UK dates, continuing to develop their atmospheric sound, which combines dark melodies, post-punk guitars and electronic influences. Maschinist (Germany) - German industrial rock band Maschinist bring something considerably heavier to the festival. Combining Neue Deutsche Härte influences with industrial rock, powerful guitars and dark electronic rhythms, they impressed the organisers when they saw them perform at Castle Rock in Germany. Their CorrosionFest appearance will be their first at the festival. Bonnie Trash (Canada) - Canadian-Italian band Bonnie Trash are a quartet from Guelph, Ontario, centred around twin sisters Emmalia and Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor. Their distinctive sound, sometimes described as 'horrorgaze', combines elements of gothic rock, post-punk, shoegaze, drone and metal. The organisers saw them perform in Sheffield in 2025 and were blown away by their live performance. The Medea Project (South Africa / UK) - The Medea Project bring a darker, heavier sound to CorrosionFest, blending elements of gothic rock, doom metal and alternative metal. With roots in South Africa and the UK, their music combines brooding atmospheres, heavy guitars and theatrical influences, demonstrating the broader musical range of CorrosionFest. Fright Night (Poland) - Poland's Fright Night combine gothic rock with punk, horror and alternative rock influences. Having previously visited the UK on several occasions, including an appearance at Carpe Noctum alongside Lesbian Bed Death, they bring a lively, horror-inspired edge to Saturday's programme. The Exceptional Mr Hyde (UK) - Hailing from Yorkshire, The Exceptional Mr Hyde combine punk, post-punk, gothic rock and electro-punk into a dark, energetic sound. Drawing on influences ranging from Killing Joke and The Cure to The Prodigy, they were the standby band for CorrosionFest 2026 and will now get their own opening slot on Saturday in 2027. Two days.
