The Windermere Triathlon Weekend Returns on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July 2027!
We are thrilled to announce the return of our signature multisport event at Lake Windermere will be returning on a slightly different weekend in 2027 due to the Tour de France passing through the area on our usual event weekend.
Join us on the shores of Lake Windermere for an unforgettable weekend of racing, set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District. The event is based at the scenic Cockshott Point, where the Transition Area boasts incredible views over the lake.
Cockshott Point offers a stunning setting for both athletes and spectators, with easy access to local amenities and public car parks nearby.
This Event is a permitted BRITISH TRIATHLON Event and thus anyone who isn't a BT Member will need to purchase a day pass to cover your Insurance on the day.

Wetsuit Policy
We anticipate that water temperatures will be warm enough to make wetsuits optional. However, we do recommend wearing a wetsuit for comfort and buoyancy, especially for less experienced swimmers.
Transition Area
A secure Transition Area will be in place exclusively for triathletes. Please note the following:
Your Race Number and Bike Number will correspond to your Racking Number in transition.
You may bring a small bag or box with personal items into transition.
Only competitors will be allowed entry — race numbers must be shown at the entrance.
Your Bike Number must be attached to your bike and helmet must be visible before entering.
After the race, your Bib Number and Bike Number will be checked before you’re allowed to remove your bike from transition, so please keep them on until you’ve collected your equipment.
Timing
This event features Live Chip Timing, provided by Timing Up North, ensuring accurate and real-time race results.
British Triathlon
To participate in this event you must either become a Core or Ultimate Annual member here or purchase a single use Race Pass for your race here.

▪ Open category (select male, non-binary or other on entry)
Only people who are female sex at birth are eligible to compete in the Female category. All individuals including transgender people are eligible to compete in the Open category
The Finish Line
All finishers will receive:
A bespoke Event Medal
Wild Deer Merchandise - a buff or water bottle
A drink and snack to help you refuel
Parking
There is ample public parking available around Cockshott Point and Glebe Road (Bowness). Payable by App or at Machines.
