About This Event

Young creatives can begin their Arts Award adventure at the Herschel Museum of Astronomy with a day of creativity, art and exploration inspired by the Herschel family’s remarkable discoveries in astronomy and photography. During the session, participants will experiment with different art techniques, discover a range of artists and their work, and share what they have learned with others. Everything needed to complete the Arts Award Discover qualification in one day will be provided. What is Arts Award Discover? Arts Award Discover is an introductory award open to home-educated children and young people aged 5 to 25 . To achieve the Discover level, participants will explore the arts around them, learn about artists and their work, and share their creative experiences with others. Throughout the day, participants will complete a logbook documenting their discoveries and activities. Those who successfully complete the Arts Award Discover requirements will receive a certificate recognising their achievement.
