Violeta Vicci will perform at The Grapes in Bath on 9 October 2026, replacing Brother Tree Sound. The Barcelona-born artist is known for her immersive soundscapes that blend classical and electronic elements, drawing from her extensive performance experience.
Sometimes things change, and it's not always a bad thing. Brother Tree Sound were due to play this show but they have had to withdraw on short notice. They are really apologetic about this. In their place, the incredible Violeta Vicci will be performing for us. It is a huge pleasure to be hosting Violeta. Rooted in natural soundscapes and underscoring the fragility of the environment, Barcelona-born Violeta Vicci is a contemporary classical and electronic artist, crafting immersive soundscapes from layered violin, ethereal vocals and electronics. She has opened for The Orb, Voyage 35, Marconi Union, System7 and collaborated with artists such as Jonsi (Sigur Rós), Clint Mansell, Thom Yorke, Elbow, Fontaines DC, Jonny Greenwood and Bat For Lashes. Violeta has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, The Barbican, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, Earth and festivals including British Summer Time, SGP, and Glastonbury. She began playing the violin at age four, gave her concert debut at fifteen and moved to London, to study at the Royal Academy of Music. She recently released her sixth studio album Be Human with pianist Bruno Bavota, a celebration of life and interacting with the world around you. Most tracks were captured in single takes, keeping the spontaneity and imperfections of Violeta and Bruno's first encounter. Her debut, Autovia, produced by Martin Glover 'Youth', bridges acoustic and electronic worlds. Her album, Mirror Images, was hailed by Strad Magazine as "a remarkable concept album." Cavaglia musically translates a pristine Swiss valley, its lakes, and glaciers. Forest Music, co-created with film composer Ben Morales Frost, offers an imagined journey into the greenness of the forest and her live EP, Fallen Trees, is a melancholic and introspective performance from her"Live Music in Nature" series, featuring live-streamed concerts in stunning natural locations.
