This October, Bath Film Festival is going beyond the traditional cinema experience with their new 'Beyond the Screen' event series, teaming up with brilliant organisations across the city to explore the worlds, stories and ideas of their films through food, music, sport, performance and more. Fancy watching a Japanese food classic before sitting down to a bowl of ramen? Celebrating 100 years of Buster Keaton with live piano? Heading from a cult club film straight into a DJ set? Or watching Whip It before putting on a pair of skates yourself? FilmBath have got just the event for you... Beyond the Screen events include: Tampopo Supper Club (18 October): Film-inspired canapés, Jûzô Itami’s joyous Japanese food classic and a shared vegetarian ramen supper created with Bath Community Kitchen. 60 Years of Carry On Screaming at No.1 Royal Crescent (19 October): Presented by Reel Life Monsters and Project the Dolls, A gloriously camp anniversary screening in the Servants’ Quarters at No.1 Royal Crescent, followed by a discussion.
