An immersive full-day workshop providing all the techniques you need to feel confident to paint your furniture to professional standards.

Hosted by our award-winning design company, Marmalade House Design, this full day course is set in our stunning farmhouse studios in Kelston, Bath.

A full day of learning about chalk paint, colour, the day is hands-on from the outset and runs through six different techniques to ensure all students leave feeling confident to work on their own pieces, and complete them to professional standards.

We teach you the magic of chalk paint: how it can be finished with a range of styles from gilding and crackle-glazing, decoupage and stencilling. We show you how to layer colours for a Scandinavian effect, and how to try different ways of painting to suit your own style: flat-painting for a contemporary finish, or distressing for a classical French look. With lots more besides, this exceptional course gives you the tools and confidence to start your own work, or greatly improve the skills you already have.

The course runs from 10am to 4pm and includes all materials, a home-made farmhouse lunch and refreshments.

All materials are provided, so just bring yourself, an old apron to work in, and enthusiasm to get stuck in for the day!

We look forward to welcoming you.
