Six Big Ideas for Climate and Nature: Learn and Get Involved
Join the Future Ambition Board (FAB) Climate and Nature Group for an in-person event to learn about the group’s Six Big Ideas for Climate and Nature, and find out how you or your organisation can contribute to turning these ideas into concrete action over the next 3 years.
What to expect
Hear from the FAB anchor institutions about the Six Big Ideas for Climate and Nature, and how to get involved.
Hear from the Mayor of the West of England on how this event feeds into WECA’s 'Big Conversation' on climate resilience, which will culminate in January 2027.
The launch of the new B&NES Climate and Nature Strategy.
There will be an option for social drinks at the Architect in Bath after the event.
What are the Six Big Ideas?
The Six Big Ideas for Climate and Nature emerged from workshops throughout 2026 and were agreed at the FAB Board in June. They represent six areas where the anchor (civic) partners to the FAB can collaborate effectively to accelerate change in B&NES. See the image below for more detail.

Sophie Broadfield, Chief Executive of Bath and North East Somerset Council,
Matt Greenfield, Director of Strategy and Regulation at Wessex Water,
Georgina Andrews, Vice-Chancellor and CEO of Bath Spa University

A free bus service runs from the bus stop in Widcombe next to Tempo Escape Room. This is opposite the bridge behind the train station.
