'Tis the season for Twilight Tobogganing! Mendip Activity Centre's most popular event of the year returns from 6 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. This magical one-hour adventure is just 30 minutes from Bristol - and perfect for families and friends looking to make winter memories together. Race down the slope on a Zibob toboggan, beneath a canopy of over 10,000 sparkling fairy lights, dancing lasers and holiday tunes, and earn your North Pole-approved Toboggan Licence. Then, follow the woodland trail to a hidden grotto. Gather around the campfire to toast marshmallows for s'mores, and enjoy delicious hot chocolate. Finish the evening with festive sparklers and a magical photo opportunity - with mince pies and mulled wine for the adults. Everything is included, with no hidden costs. Twilight Tobogganing is suitable for everyone aged 4+, even teenagers and adults! Private group sessions are available from £110 for up to 8 people. Individual spaces from £22 per child for ages 4–12. Onsite, there's free parking, and access to The Alpine Lounge cafe, toilets and changing rooms.
