Timeless Christmas songs, bluesy vocals and beautiful piano: Ruth McGinley and Daisy Johnston at The Harrison on a December afternoon ❄️

Step out of the December chill and into The Harrison for an afternoon of live Christmas music, candlelight and mulled wine—or even a cheeky Christmas cocktail.

A Timeless Christmas opens In the Room at Christmas, a new intimate concert series presented by renowned pianist Ruth McGinley. With the piano close by and the performers just a few feet away, settle in and experience the music a little closer.

For this opening concert, Ruth is joined by Belfast singer-songwriter Daisy Johnston, whose distinctive, smoky vocals bring warmth and character to Christmas songs made famous by iconic female voices. From the wistful beauty of Joni Mitchell’s River to Judy Garland’s Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Julie London’s The Christmas Waltz, expect an afternoon full of nostalgia, tenderness and festive sparkle.

Northern Ireland’s very own award-winning makeup artist Paddy McGurgan will also join Daisy and Ruth for a special guest performance, sharing another side of his creativity through his musical talents.

In the Harrison’s rich, atmospheric surroundings, an audience of just 30 gathers close to the piano. Every delicate phrase and lingering note becomes part of a shared experience: music heard up close, with room to pause and lose yourself for a while.

Let the Christmas magic linger a little longer. Move into the glamorous Harrison bar after the concert and explore the special Christmas cocktail and mocktail menu.

A beautiful December afternoon to share with someone you love—or simply enjoy for yourself.
