BEST BOY MAGAZINE IS SCREENING CECIL B DEMENTED IN ORDER TO CELEBRATE THE RELEASE OF ISSUE 5 OF THEIR ZINE BEST BOY MAGAZINE is back in print and proud to present: CECIL B. DEMENTED DIR BY JOHN WATERS, to celebrate the launch of ISSUE 5: THE CINEMA, AS IN, THE BUILDING! CECIL B. DEMENTED is a lesser-seen John Waters banger that follows a group of guerrilla filmmakers led by an insane director who get up to all sorts of hijinks in the name of CINEMA, kidnapping a Hollywood starlet to force her into their picture. Played out in the traditional, stylish, and bad-good-taste John Waters style, it funhouse-mirrors the real kidnapping of Patty Hearst, the granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst (the inspiration for Citizen Kane) (which Paul Schrader made a film about). WOW! It’s all tied up in references and parodies that all lead back to cinema! Real fans of flicks will not want to miss! BEST BOY MAGAZINE ISSUE 5: When I say cinema, you probably think of the art form. The Martin Scorsese meme that only Marvel fans use, or the useless degree you got. But it’s also a place. A darkened room to sit in silence with strangers, a beautifully designed art deco builfing/ a large megacorp slop palace or a place to work that makes you hate the general public and your coworkers and yourself?
