Following our wonderful inaugural event with Anthony Toner, Ken Haddock with Clive Wills provided another magical night with a sold out gig on a balmy May night. Both of them were in sparkling form and we all loved it.

The title Blues By The River is a nod to the late Dougie Knight, the font of all knowledge on jazz and blues. Back in the '80s he ran Jazz by the River in the same venue, cajoling major jazz artists visiting the Queens Festival to do an extra night at the Boat Club.
Great artists in an intimate venue, that’s the idea, thanks Dougie.
Now we move to the winter sessions and Lyric Hifi is proud to host what will be another special evening. On Friday Oct 16th, we welcome Anthony Toner with Ronnie Greer, just the two of them.
These two best friends have thrilled us with performances in various combinations for many years. The Ronnie Greer Big Band in Bangor's Walled Garden every August is an unmissable treat. Get tickets asap if there are any left!
This gig is unusual for being just the two of them, and the intimate setting of the Belfast Boat Club is the perfect space for this. Expect incredible guitar playing and some great songs from the Anthony Toner songbook, no doubt along with some storytelling.
Hard to express how thrilled we are to have these guys playing for us!
We're also delighted to once again have none other than the amazing Alastair McMillan controlling all things audio, so the sound quality is guaranteed to be brilliant!
About the venue
Belfast Boat Club is a new venue in a beautiful setting so come early and have a look round while you're here. The club is open all day, and for this performance doors open at 7pm, with kick off around 8pm. There is free public car parking here, just a 200m walk to the Boat Club. Over 18s only.
