Lisa Murray is an Irish pop artist redefining the sound of bilingual music. In the past year, she’s performed live on RTÉ Radio 1, earned a One to Watch nod from TodayFM, appeared on Ireland AM, and lit up stages nationwide—from Connemara to Temple Bar. Her mesmerising performance at Electric Picnic 2025 aired on TG4’s Beó ón Electric Picnic alongside artists like Kneecap, Amble, and IMLÉ, solidifying her place among Ireland’s most exciting new voices.
With over 5 million views on TikTok since embracing Irish-language content in late 2024, Lisa has become affectionately known to fans as the “Gaeilgeoir Swift.” Her Gaeilge music content has earned her over 40,000 followers across her social media platforms. It all began with her breakout Irish-language single uaigneach, a song that marked her transition from bedroom pop producer to a leading voice in the Irish language revival movement.
This year, she’s stepping into her next chapter with her debut album, ‘Abhaile’ (‘Home’). Thiscollection of bilingual Irish/English pop songs, co-produced with Cian Sweeney (Ryan Mack, Robert Grace, Le Boom) is set for release in September 2026 and is sure to cement Lisa even further into the cultural landscape of the Irish language. Blending contemporary pop with Irish-language storytelling, Lisa’s mission is simple: to show that the Irish language belongs on the global pop stage.
Originally from Baile Ghib, a small Gaeltacht in County Meath, Lisa grew up on a diet of Taylor Swift and Fleetwood Mac, dreaming of music that could fuse her love of pop with her native tongue. She earned a degree in Music and Modern Irish at Trinity College Dublin and a Master’s in Music Production, Technology & Innovation at Berklee College of Music, whereshe received their Outstanding Woman Scholarship and was mentored by Sylvia Massy (Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Prince). For Lisa, her music is a cultural mission that honours the ancient language of Ireland. Every song she writes brings her closer to home.
