Join Emma Doorish for a warm, thought-provoking morning exploring the Drama Triangle. Join us for a warm, thought-provoking morning exploring the Drama Triangle, a simple and powerful model for understanding why we get pulled into the roles of Persecutor, Victim and Rescuer. Often without noticing, we slip into these roles with clients, colleagues, family and even ourselves. Drawing on Karpman's Drama Triangle, Eric Berne's games and David Emerald's Empowerment Dynamic, we will look at how each role shows up in the therapy room, how the switch between roles happens, and how we can support clients, and ourselves, to step out of the drama. Expect clear teaching, real-life examples, moments of quiet reflection and practical tools to take straight back into your practice. Nothing is asked of you beyond listening and reflecting. Emma Doorish is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor in private practice near Limavady. She is MBACP Accredited and an NCPS Professional Registrant. Working creatively and somatically, Emma also delivers CPD training for counsellors and psychotherapists. She is passionate about making models like the Drama Triangle practical and accessible in everyday client work, and about supporting therapists to avoid burnout.
