At the throws workshop, attendees can expect a day of learning on rotational throwing, with theory and practical sessions covering the discus and shot put. The hammer throw will also be featured as a core part of the curriculum.

Dave Sweeney, an Athletics Ireland throws coach, will lead the rotational throwing segments. Sean Egan, an Olympic hammer thrower, will be on hand to provide technical advice and instruction on the hammer event.

The workshop is open to coaches and athletes, with entry supported by Belfast City Council and the European City of Sport initiative. Attendees should bring appropriate training attire, and all necessary equipment for the practical sessions will be provided.
