Irish folklore expert Róisín Ni Con Ulaidh gives a talk at Templemore Baths in Belfast. The session explores the history of indigenous Irish religion and costs £12.00.

A talk by Irish folklore expert Róisín Ni Con Ulaidh exploring the the history of indigenous Irish religion.

Long ago, our ancestors shared stories of ancient gods, might warriors and heroic epics. Today, those stories survive in our landscape and fairytales. These Gods were known as the Tuatha Dé Danann.

Presented by Historian and Irish Folklore expert Róisín Ni Con Ulaidh this enlightening talk will illustrate the origins of these stories, who these gods were and their divine abilities. We'll make educated speculations as to how they may have been worshipped and explore how their stories survive to the modern day

About Róisín

Rósín is a heritage practitioner, art historian and folklorist.

Her primary interest is in connecting people to culture through traditions, history and folklore

She holds a Masters in Cultural Policies and Arts Management and before that trained as an Art Historian.

She has been in the heritage sector since 2021, and since 2019 has been a content creator, producing short form videos teaching people about Irish mythology and culture.
