Join National Trust rangers for a birdwatching event at one of the best locations around Strangford Lough. This is the time of year when geese, ducks, waders and many other bird species migrate from northern countries to spend the winter on our sheltered mudflats. Discover the incredible wildlife that calls Strangford Lough home and learn about the important surveys our staff and volunteers undertake to monitor bird populations and their habitats. With a bit of luck, you may even spot a bird with a ring on its leg and learn how bird ringing helps scientists track migration routes and understand bird behaviour.
