About This Event

A fresh take on life drawing featuring costumed models, cosplay and drag. Weekly sessions for artists of every level. This session runs every Sunday, 6–8pm at 1000 Trades in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Using the same format as a traditional life drawing class, each session features a costumed model, including cosplayers, drag artists, performers, and creatives with distinctive visual identities. You’ll work through a mixture of short and longer timed poses, exploring character, costume, fabric, expression, and storytelling while developing your observational drawing skills. The sessions are suitable for all abilities and offer a welcoming, inclusive space to experiment, meet other artists, and draw something a little different. Some materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. £10 Paid in the session • Booking Recommended • No admission after 6pm
