About A History of The World in Ten Wars
From the ancient Greeks to the Second World War, the author of A History of Britain in Ten Enemies and Revolting takes readers on a fast-paced and characteristically witty whirlwind tour of global history through ten conflicts and the transformative impact they had on the world.
War: what is it good for? Absolutely something, surely, or we wouldn't keep doing it. What can we learn from ten wars that have changed world history?
Throughout the ages, each generation has faced the same questions. Am I willing to fight for my way of life? How can I come up with something the enemy hasn’t thought of? And the important one that people often forget to ask: is there a way of solving this amicably?
A History of the World in Ten Wars is a witty, whistlestop tour of world history that will have you laughing as you find out what they didn't teach you in school.
