Join us over a shared love of reading and community!
Led by Polly Wright, ‘Reading for Wellbeing’ is all about sharing the enjoyment of reading aloud through good stories, novel extracts and poetry, sparking relaxed discussions around themes, characters and how they connect to our own lives and experiences.
Shared reading is an internationally recognised approach to promoting wellbeing, but most of all, it’s a chance to connect with others through a shared love of literature. This month, we’re also encouraging attendees to bring along their favourite childhood book or story to share.
If the weather is nice, the session will be held outdoors by the lake, creating a relaxed setting to enjoy the session together. As it’s half term, children are very welcome to come along too.
You don’t need to bring anything else as all reading materials will be provided. Hot drinks and lunch will also be available.
It’s also a lovely networking opportunity and a chance for businesses across the park to get to know their neighbours better.
