Join colleagues from across the city for an inspiring day of expert keynote speakers, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and the sharing of best practice. Designed for professionals working in schools and educational settings, this conference will provide practical ideas, evidence-informed approaches, and real-world strategies that can be implemented immediately to support children and young people.

We are delighted to welcome this year's keynote speaker, Luke Rodgers BEM, Chief Executive of The Care Leaders. Luke will deliver an engaging and interactive Tools for Schools session, exploring trauma, attachment, behaviour as communication, and relational practice. Delegates will leave feeling inspired, informed, and equipped with practical tools and strategies to help improve outcomes for children and young people.

Alongside the keynote, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a range of workshops, hear important updates, connect with colleagues from across the sector, and explore our services marketplace. This promises to be a valuable day of learning, collaboration, and professional development.

Who Can Attend?

This conference is primarily designed for colleagues working in Birmingham primary and secondary schools who support children in care and care-experienced young people.

Places may also be available for professionals from other sectors, including early years and post-16 settings. These bookings will be subject to availability and confirmed once places have been allocated to our priority audience.

Schools outside of Birmingham are also welcome to attend where they have a good number of children in care or care-experienced young people on roll who are supported by Birmingham Virtual School. Attendance will be subject to availability.
