Sunset bike ride for families at Ackers Adventure.

Family Glow Ride

Join us at sunset on October 22 at 17:58 for a fun family ride at the grounds of Ackers Adventure! This ride is perfect for families with young children who can ride and want to enjoy a traffic-free route.

Glow rides are a colourful celebration of cycling so dress up and make your bike as bright as possible!

The route stays safe and quiet, and whenever it crosses the centre's access road, a friendly marshal will be there to help. Don’t worry if your child doesn’t have a bike or helmet — we’ve got plenty to borrow!

Important: An adult must be present and responsible for each child taking part in the ride.

Who? Open to families with young riders aged five to 16 who are confident riders who would like to take part in a group ride.

What? Riders will be given the chance to learn how to dide as part of a group before challenging themselves to ride the full route. The route will be on traffic free paths through the centre. Challenging features will be picked out with whitewash. Most MTB Gravel Road and Hybrid bikes will be suitable.

When? Join us at sunset October 22 Thursday 17:58. We'll ride for an hour but if you and your young rider want a shorter ride that will be fine - just let us know.

Where? Ackers Adventure, Golden Hillock Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, B11 2PY. The route will be between around the ABC and the Ski Centre. Head for https://w3w.co/also.chill.slide (https://w3w.co/also.chill.slide).

What if I haven't got a bike like that? Let us know by selecting the 'borrow-a-bike' option and we can sort it out.

How much? This ride is is free of charge but donations are welcomed, Junior club membership (http://beaconrcc.org.uk/join/) is £5.
