With Anne Haigh, a workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches, at Hobbycraft in Birmingham Selly Oak on 28 November at 2:00pm.

Suitable for those who have never picked up a needle but want to have a go or those who have just started to stitch. A workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches whilst embroidering a simple stylish pattern.

A choice of four patterns will be provided. The workshop will provide confidence to continue to explore after the workshop has ended.

To note:

This event is for those aged 16 and over.

Cancellation and refunds given up to 7 days before the event takes place. No refunds will be given for cancellations under 7 days.

Capacity for this workshop is 9 people.

Required Materials

You will be able to take away fabric, threads and a needle to carry on stitching at home.

Equipment used in the workshop such as hoops, maker pens and scissors will be available to purchase afterwards in store.

You may find it useful to bring a pen and paper to make notes.

Your Tutor

Anne Haigh is a trustee of the Embroiderers’ Guild. She has been fascinated with things stitch since childhood and has a City and Guilds Certificate and Diploma in Embroidery. For the past three years Anne has been managing a large project to photograph the Guild Collection and upload the images with details to ArtUK.
