Join us for a friendly and fun pickleball session with other JQ community members!

What to expect

Buy a ticket (one per attendee) to join a session of JQ Pickleball. This isn't court hire, it's a mixed-ability open session where you'll be playing with other members of the JQ community.

Everyone is welcome, including complete beginners! Pickleball is easy to pick up and the rules will be explained to everyone. Here's an overview of the rules of the game (https://www.pickleballengland.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/PE_Basic-Rules.pdf) (or you can watch this quick 2-minute explainer video (https://youtu.be/fTvPYdKZqO0?si=W21s9kJjxO3emWuF)) if you want to get ahead of the curve! This 3-minute video explains the scoring system (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoheCHp6IDw). Don't worry if you don't get it, there will be plenty of people to help.

Equipment is provided, so you just need to turn up in suitable sports footwear and clothing. Low, stable trainers e.g. tennis or badminton shoes are strongly recommended to prevent injuries (see this guide (https://centraltennis.co.uk/blogs/pickleball/best-pickleball-shoes-uk) for more info); running shoes are not recommended.
