This Halloween prepare youself to hear the darker stories hidden behind the buildings and streets you walk past every day.
We'll dive into Birmingham’s history of medicine, illness, life and death in the City Centre and Jewellery Quarter starting at Birmingham Cathedral and finishing at Snow Hill Station.
Meet the guide outside the Grand Hotel between 5:15 and 5:30pm before embarking on the tour.
The tour will run from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Stops will include:
• The Grand Hotel
• The former Ear, Nose & Throat Hospital
• Birmingham & Midland Eye Hospital
• The Chest Clinic
• Newhall Street Telephone Exchange
• The Red Palace
• Livery Street, where we explore the story of Birmingham’s last public hanging
Tickets include a complimentary drinks voucher for a local pub
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Ladywood Community Project.
