About This Event

Mat Taylor's History of Horror Films is a comedy show as part of the Birmingham Comedy Festival. Held at Cherry Red's Cafe Bar, the performance condenses over 100 years of horror cinema into one hour. Tickets are free.

100+ years of horror films condensed into a 1hr comedy show.

Local comedian and part time mad scientist MAT TAYLOR stitches together over a century’s worth of horror films into this lumbering cadaver of a comedy show. Join him as he cackles maniacally and throws the lever that brings this whole show to life.

From The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari to The Cabin in the Woods, Mat Taylor finds the funny in the fearsome as he guides you through the shadowy tunnels of cinematic history.

“Mat Taylor is one of the best joke writers on the circuit” – Eric Rushton
